Welcome to the Foundation Stage Page!


This term our topic is

Feathers, Fur or Scales?


This term we will be continuing our topic on animals.

Some of you will be coming back to school and some will be staying at home so we will continue to share planning and ideas for activities here.

While the children are at home you will be able to use books you have at home or the internet to find out about different animals. You can think about what your different pets need and how you take care of them. If you don’t have a pet

there will be lots of videos and information to help you.

On your walks around the village the children can find out about the wildlife in local habitats and micro habitats!

There will be stories and poems to listen to, talk about and learn off by heart.

Plus look out for videos to help you get started with the different activities.


Our Jigsaw theme for term 6 is 'Changing Me' and our collective worship theme is 'Service'.

Help with Letters and Sounds/Phonics

EYFS Handwriting

Each week choose one or two letters to practise from one of the families (see Twinkl below). The best family to start with is the ladder letters. You may notice, while your child is writing, which letters s/he needs to practise. Just make a note and choose that letter for practise plus another family letter e.g. n and m or c and a. If your child is still learning to write his/her name or using upper case letters when doing so then practise these letters first. Use Skywriter below or find the letter on the powerpoint to demonstrate the correct formation. Then use your white board and pen or other materials to practise.
