Welcome to the Foundation Stage Page!

This term the children’s chosen topic is

‘The sound of Music!’

This term the children will be finding out about how sounds are made

and how different instruments make their sounds!

We will have visits from different musicians

and the children will be able to make their own instruments with recycled materials.

The children will be engaging with their learning by finding out and exploring different activities,

using what they already know to continue their learning.

We will support them in building their confidence so they are happy to ‘have a go’ at new activities

and ‘keep on trying’ to achieve their goals.

They will have opportunities to be creative and think critically;

using their own ideas and choosing their own way of doing things to solve problems.

Each week the children will have homework

giving them opportunities to share their learning with parents and carers.

Our Jigsaw theme this term is Dreams and Goals' and our collective worship theme is ‘Creation and Creativity’.

Please remember to send your child with a water bottle, outdoor shoes and coat every day. They will also need wellies if the weather is wet or for playing in the sand or mud kitchen.

If you have any worries, concerns or just need reassuring please come and see one of the members of staff.
