Consultation Process

Expansion of Hanborough Manor

You probably already know that we have been working with the county council for some time to plan the expansion of the school to meet the needs of the village’s housing developments. We are now getting ready to submit a formal application to expand to the Regional Schools Commissioner, who has to give permission for academies to expand. To help us finalise this application, we have now opened a consultation into our expansion, which you are very welcome to respond to. The consultation leaflet is available from both our website and the county council’s website:

You can respond to the consultation via the county council’s website, or by emailing or posting your response. Please respond before the 2nd December. If you have any questions about this expansion, Barbara Chillman, from Oxfordshire County Council, will be holding a drop-in session on Wednesday 27th November, 7.30am - 9.15am, when you can ask questions of the school or of the county council. At this stage we are consulting on the principle of expansion, (should we or shouldn't we expand?) not on what the buildings will be like. If the Regional Schools Commissioner approves the expansion in principle, we will then be able to work on detailed designs for the building extension, and we would look forward to sharing those with you.
