KILVROUGH 2016

Monday

After a long journey, we arrived at Kilvrough Manor around 12:45 and settled into our bedrooms. We tested the fire alarm and had a briefing about the exciting week ahead. For lunch we had some delicious tomato soup which was accompanied with a bread roll. We are about to enjoy chicken curry for tea and are looking forward to the evening's activities! #FREEDOM

Evening Activity

After dinner, we took part in an orienteering activity called, "Nose to the Ground." We joined forces with children from Little Milton Primary School which was scary at first but now we have made lots of new friends. Oliver and Alan (from Hanborough) were on the winning team.  We had some free time which we filled playing football- of course! This place is awesome.

Tuesday

7:30AM  All of the children are preparing their rooms ready for inspection. The duty group are preparing the breakfast and all children are in good spirits after a decent sleep. Today is, "Watersports Day," so I hope the rain clears up! I'm off to make a large mug of black coffee.

5:30 PM Today we have been canoeing in the rain! After working in teams to load the boats onto the trailer, we traveled for approximately 35 minutes to the canal. We had 10 minutes to try and work out how to control our boats but benefited from some expert tips given by Sam (our instructor) One of the highlights was when Sam (Y6) decided to be a fish: he was the first to get very wet! We have fed the midges very well today and are happy to be dry after having a shower. We must go as it's chicken or mushroom pie for tea tonight!
